Dear Readers,

Welcome to the land of two creatives searching for a way to express ourselves in a non-professional way. Bri Carney and I, Madison Hammond, attended Wake Forest University where we played Division 1 Soccer together. As English majors we both spent time advocating for social change on our campus, finding passion in areas such as gender norms, race, sexuality and the overall inclusion and opportunity for all people to be heard.

 

Now fresh out of undergrad, Bri is finding her way in New York City working as a paralegal. On the side she writes golden comedy and does stand-up bits. I have decided to keep kicking balls for a living, and play for the OL Reign of the NWSL.

We both think it's important to keep looking for a way to write, but sometimes life gets in the way. 'Our Daily Bread,' is our way of doing high-quality writing with no deadlines and a friendly audience. We hope to keep you laughing and thinking about things that are relevant to us and our contemporary culture.
